HOW LONG DOES YOUR RESOLE SERVICE TAKE?

Depending on the amount of work required on your shoes, they should be returned to you in 6-8 weeks from when we receive them and we will contact you once they have been completed (see "When to Resole" page).

Replacing only the soles will take much less time than if the toe rands or midsoles also need to be replaced also. Also see "When To Resole" page.

We suggest having an extra pair of shoes while you are waiting for your current pair to be resoled. Please see the "Drop Off Your Shoes" page for a store near you.

WHICH PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?

We bill you when the shoes are repaired and completed. We will forward you bank transfer details then.

DO I NEED MY TOE RANDS REPLACED?

What is a toe rand? Please refer to our "When to Resole Page". For examples of our repaired toe rands please see our "Before and After Pics" page.

Toe rands need to be replaced if there is the smallest hole in the in the toe box area of your shoes. Even if there are no holes, the rand rubber may be so thin (paper thin) that when attaching the new sole, the tension will rip the thin and weakened rand rubber.

WHEN DO I NEED A FULL RAND TO BE REPLACED?

Full rands need to be replaced when there is damage to the rand outside the toe box area. See "When to Resole" page for more information.

WHY DO YOU NOT ACCEPT SHOES THAT HAVE BEEN REPAIRED/RESOLED BY OTHER RESOLERS?

To streamline our turnaround time, we do not resole shoes that have had toe rands/toe caps resoled by other resolers.


Doing so takes considerably more time than resoling a new pair of shoes or shoes that we have resoled. We recommend returning those shoes to the previous resoler for repair.

We do this to ensure a faster turnaround time for all our customers and to maintain the standard of our resoles.

HOW DO I SEND IN MY ROCK SHOES?

To send your climbing shoes to us, please visit the "Post In Your Shoes" page or "Drop Off Your Shoes" page.

HOW MUCH IS POSTAGE?

To send your shoes to us directly costs: Australia-wide for a pair of regular sized shoes in an Aus Post small satchel is $10 for 1 pair or medium satchel is $13, large satchel is $17 for 2 pairs, extra large satchel is $20 for 3 pairs of shoes.

Postage for store drop off and pick up varies between stores from $0, $5 or $10 each way. See "Drop Off Your Shoes" page for further details for each store.

HOW CAN I GET A CHEAPER AND QUICKER RESOLE?

Resole your shoes before any rand damage which will cost more and take longer to repair and return to you

(see "When to Resole" page).

Drop Off your shoes (see "Drop Off Your Shoes" page)  at one of our collection stores next time you shop to lower postage charges. Postage cost varies among stores. You can pick up from the same location.

HOW MANY TIMES CAN ROCK CLIMBING SHOES BE RESOLED?

Climbing shoes resoled by Sticky Rubber Resoles can be restored back to factory settings multiple times. Let's say 3-4 times depending on how much damage is done is done to the shoe inner. This means getting a long use from your high performance climbing shoes which will be restored to factory settings each time. See the "When to Resole" page for more information.
